Who we are
Pelican Foundry LLC ("we," "us") operates this website, pelicanfoundry.com, and builds Probity, a fraud and embezzlement detection product for small businesses. This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website. Data processed within the Probity product itself is governed by the agreements we enter into with our customers.
Information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us. When you submit our request-info form, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any notes you include. This information is delivered to us by email and used only to respond to your inquiry.
- Usage information. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, browser type). Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. Our web server also keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to respond to your inquiries, operate and secure the website, and understand how the site is used. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site — such as Amazon Web Services (email delivery and hosting infrastructure) and Google (analytics) — and when required by law. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond providing their services.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are those used by Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without cookies.
Data retention
Inquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your request. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete or correct information you've submitted through the site at any time by emailing support@pelicanfoundry.com.
